Smiles for Jake

Music Video, Interviews and Ad Campaign Videos

Smiles for Jake is a local non-profit organization, their mission is to be a suicide prevention movement that spreads positivity through life-affirming actions, listening ears, and the message that everyone should have hope.

"The engagement we’ve seen—especially on social platforms—has been phenomenal"

We were honored to work on several videos for this organization with the first being a music video to be shown at Lakes Jam 2024.  The video was set to the song Get Up and was the introduction of a new way for people to connect to resources, the online bot Hope.  Hope is an interactive service that makes it easy for anyone to seek the services they are looking for.  This video was show live at the concert and timed to end with an amazing fireworks show that canvases the sky above.

The next videos were for various campaigns to not only bring awareness to the organization, but also their in person Smile Advocacy Program.  These training sessions are conducted at various companies, organizations and groups and provide real resources and tools for people to be aware of the power of a smile.  The sessions talk about mental health, kindness and suicide prevention.  The ad campaign included targeted social media videos, embedded web content and online placements.  Video production included on location interviews as well as planning for deliverables in multiple formats and durations.

Feedback From The Client and Project Partners

Dave,

I wanted to send a letter to say THANK YOU!

At Smiles for Jake we had a need for video work to be done on a few campaigns; our goal was to bring awareness to our mission, book education sessions with local businesses and to share our story. From the first time we met with Dave, we knew that we were in good hands. His attention to details, creativity to find the right fit to tell the story and his ability to ask the right questions from us to get what he needed was impecabile. He worked within our timelines and budget to get our story told.

From our first video project in May of 2024 for a music festival event in which we threw curveballs at him constantly to our most recent campaign with a large ask of multiple videos, Dave was always accommodating and attentive to what our organization needed.

As a result of the most recent campaign; we had 3 different videos that ran in social media ads that brought us over 100K views (for EACH video) - amazing! Our ultimate goal is to book our Education sessions with local businesses and in the first 3 months, we booked over a dozen businesses - that we can attribute to the videos in our media campaign.

We will continue to work with Dave in the future anytime we have a video project need.

Smile On,

Sarah Smith, Executive Director
